Gianni Doglia winery is located in Castagnole delle Lanze, the first village of the Monferrato region.
Our family run business bornt in 1947 when grandfather Eugenio bought 3 herctars of vineyards on Annunziata di Castagnole Lanze hill.
Marisa and Bruno, in this land vocated to Barbera and Moscato grape, started to produce red wines as Barbera at first, Grignolino, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo.
During the following years, they improved their knowledge and started to produce different version of Barbera d’Asti. In 90s Gianni, Marisa and Bruno’s son, came back home after oenologist studies, and continued to produce Barbera and started with the Moscato story.
Today we produce 5 different versions of Barbera starting from the youngest Casa Doglia coming from very young vines passing through the Barbera d’Asti Bosco Donne and Barbera d’Asti Superiore Genio and ending with the top appellation for Barbera d’Asti: Nizza DOCG.
Today we produce more than 100.000 bottles pro year and we own 16 hectars of vineyards.
Gianni Doglia is awarded as Winemaker of the year by the prestigious Gambero Rosso Wine Guide.
